What situations might cause a sufferer to experience Anxiety?
Anxiety is usually experienced in any location at any time but can be affected by agoraphobia, which radically changes how a sufferer feels in various locations. They may feel safe at home or may only leave the house with a friend or family member, they may panic in their car or fear holidays or travel. While this is an inappropriate fear, this kind of experience is common in anxiety disorders sufferers.
Anxiety disorder causes the sufferer to feel scared most of the time so any changes in environment are perceived as 'anxiety provoking'. They know consciously that this is inappropriate but the level of fear they experience overrides this.
The only way to overcome anxiety is to reset the baseline anxiety level by implementing a structured and supportive methodology. Anxiety drug treatments and 'talking therapies' are rarely the solution and even when some success is experienced, therapists can rarely dedicate the time and resources required by anxiety sufferers in order to make a full and lasting recovery.
